Here are the role types used in SharePoint & there rights,

 Administrator:
  1. Has all rights from other site groups, plus rights to manage site groups and view usage analysis data.
  2. The Administrator site group cannot be customized or deleted, and there must always be at least one member of the Administrator site group.
  3. Members of the Administrator site group always have access to, or can grant themselves access to, any item in the Web site.
  4.  All rights included in the WebDesigner site group, plus the following: ManageListPermissions, ManageRoles, ManageSubwebs, ViewUsageData.
Contributor:
  1. Have Reader rights, plus rights to add, edit, and delete items, manage list permissions, manage personal views, personalize Web Part Pages, and browse directories.
  2. Contributors cannot create new lists or document libraries, but they can add content to existing lists and document libraries.
  3. All rights included in the Reader site group, plus the following: AddDelPrivateWebParts, AddListItems, BrowseDirectories, CreatePersonalGroups, DeleteListItems, EditListItems, ManagePersonalViews, UpdatePersonalWebParts.
Guest:
  1. Has limited rights to view pages and specific page elements.
  2. This site group is used for giving users access to a particular page, list, or item in a list, without granting them rights to view the entire site.
  3. Users cannot be explicitly added to the Guest site group, rather users who are given access to lists or document libraries by way of per-list permissions are automatically added to the Guest site group.
  4. The Guest site group cannot be customized or deleted.
Reader:
  1. Have rights to view items, personalize Web parts, use alerts, and create their own top-level Web site using Self-Service Site Creation.
  2. Readers can only read a site; they cannot add content.
  3. Note that when a reader creates a site using Self-Service Site Creation, he or she becomes the site owner and a member of the Administrator site group for the new site.
  4. This does not affect the users site group membership for any other site. Rights included: CreateSSCSite, ViewListItems, ViewPages.
Web Designer:
  1. Have Contributor rights, plus rights to cancel checkout, delete items, manage lists, add and customize pages, define and apply themes and borders, and link style sheets.
  2. Web Designers can modify the structure of the site and create new lists or document libraries.
  3. All rights included in the Contributor site group, plus the following: AddAndCustomizePages, ApplyStyleSheets, ApplyThemeAndBorder, CancelCheckout, ManageLists.
None:
  1. Have no rights on the Web site.

Setting Up Active Directory Integration with DotNetNuke Seems like enough people ask, and the information is hidden enough around the DNN AD forum that this information could be posted in one place.  These are the steps I take to get my DNN AD integration to work every time.  I have never had it fail.  I hope you find it helpful.  Now if you are setting up your AD in Mixed-Mode most likley this little write up isn't for you. The setup process is a three step process.  The first step is done from within DNN.  The second step takes place in DNN’s web.config file.  The final step takes place in IIS. Within the DNN Website Login as Admin or Host to your DNN website. After login go to                                                                i.     the Admin tab                               ii.   and then select Authentication You will now see the Active Directory Setup Screen. According the type of Language & it’s richness the coding is done to make the programming as small as possible. In programming Mathematical thinking is required. You must be able to write your ideas in terms of mathematics with the nature of Language you are using to construct the program . The skill get improve when you do practice .. Lots of Practice.
